Headteacher Update 10th May

Dear Parents & Carers.

The children have been so glad to see the beautiful weather this week, and many classes have incorporated the outdoors into their lessons. It has been a pleasure to see the children doing creative writing sessions and exciting science experiments.

Next week, our year 6 children will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding in maths, reading, spelling, punctuation and grammar in the KS2 national tests. We will be encouraging and supporting them through the week while acknowledging the feelings that tests can generate. Hopefully, their outcomes will be one of a number of ways we celebrate their learning and achievements. We wish them all the best.

We have some exciting news to share with our Hob Moor Community. Mrs Connolly, our SENCo, will be embarking on maternity leave very soon. We wish her all the best as she welcomes a new addition to her family, and we look forward to hearing all about her adventures as a family of 5. Mrs Goliger will be taking on the role of SENCo for 2 days a week. She has been shadowing Mrs Connolly over the last few weeks to gain a thorough understanding of the role and responsibilities. This collaborative approach will minimise any disruption to our children and ensure continued support for their educational needs.

We hope the lovely weather continues this weekend and all of our children can relax, recharge and create some wonderful memories in the sun with their families. The local park is a great place for children to explore or play a game of football.
