Welcome
Here at Hob Moor Primary Academy, we have a 52 place Nursery. Nursery is the initial building blocks to many children beginning their school journey. We provide a stimulating and challenging environment for children to develop their skills, knowledge, friendships and personalities.
We believe that children learn best by direct experience and interactions between people and their environment, through established routines and inspirational activities. We value the strong relationship with our local community and we encourage a positive partnership between children, their home, the provision and the wider community who help us to support the children in our care, to develop into individuals who will lead happy and rewarding lives.
Session Times
Nursery children begin their day at 8.45am and finish at 15:30pm. Please see our daily timetable of the day below:
Our Timetable
We feel it is really important that children have consistent routines every day. This helps to provide the children with comfort and security. When children feel this sense of trust and safety they are free to play, explore and learn.
8:45 – 8:55 | Nursery Rhymes on the IWB and looking at/exploring books
8.55 – 9.00 | Registration/use of visual timeline
9.00 – 9:10 | Dancing/whole body movements/snack
9:10 – 9.20 | Planning time
9.20 – 11.30 | Child initiated plan within our areas of provision
11.30-11.40 | Verbal review session
11:40 – 11.50 | Phonics
11:55 – 13:00 | Lunch time
13:00 – 13.15 | Registration/use of visual timeline/maths activity
13.15-15.10 | Child initiated plan within our areas of provision
15.10-15.30 | Story time and hometime
