Busy Books / Stay & Play

Throughout the children’s time in our EYFS, the children’s learning is captured through photographs and
observations by staff and parents/carers. These are shared through our online learning journal, Tapestry.
We encourage parents and carers to also share learning experiences at home via our online learning
journal.

Each week in Reception, parents and carers will be invited into their child’s class a little bit earlier to attend
a Busy Books session. During these sessions, adults and children will work together, exploring writing and
mathematical challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity to see the growth and progress the children are
making and how they are extending their learning.

In Nursery, parents and carers are invited to a Stay & Play session, twice a week. This is a great
opportunity for families and school to work closely together, playing and learning with the children from the
very start of their school journey.
