Welcome
Here at Hob Moor Primary Academy, we have a 35 place Nursery. Nursery is the initial building blocks to many children beginning their school journey. We provide a stimulating and challenging environment for children to develop their skills, knowledge, friendships and personalities.
We believe that children learn best by direct experience and interactions between people and their environment, through established routines and inspirational activities. We value the strong relationship with our local community and we encourage a positive partnership between children, their home, the provision and the wider community who help us to support the children in our care, to develop into individuals who will lead happy and rewarding lives.
Session Times
Nursery children begin their day at 8.45am and finish at 15:30pm.
Our Timetable
Please see our daily timetable below:
8:45 – 9.00 | The children come in and choose their own learning. We also have bagels waiting for anyone who would like.
9:05 – 9:20 | We focus on our early oracy skills through a shared phonics session. Our team comes together for a check-in so that we can support each other with our feelings.
9.20 – 11.15 | We explore, learn and support each other through our play, both inside and outside. Mid-morning, we come together for a story, while we share milk and a snack.
11:15 – 11:30 | Sharing stories together.
11.30 – 11.40 | Action Songs and lunch preparation.
11:45 – 12:20 | Lunch time
12:20 – 13:00 | Outdoor play together
13:00 – 13.15 | We have a short maths session together on the carpet, learning together.
13.15 – 15.10 | We explore, learn and support each other through our play, both inside and outside.
15.10 – 15.30 | The end of our session is a special time, where we share stories and songs together.
