Headteachers Update 18th February 2022
Thank you for your parent view responses. I will post all responses onto our website after half term. In summary:-
95% of parents agree or strongly agree that their child is happy and safe in school.
95% … agree or strongly agree that their child makes good progress, appropriate to their learning needs and their children are well looked after.
97% … agree or strongly agree that their child is taught well.
82%… agree or strongly agree that they receive appropriate ideas to support home-learning however, 10% of parents disagree/strongly disagree they do not receive appropriate support and ideas. We will focus on improving this after half term we would like to focus on improving the home-learning support.
97.4% of parents would recommend our school to another parent!
As we finish for our half term, I’d like to give a short overview of the magical moments of Spring 1!
*Hob Moor Oaks at the Movies – was amazingly wonderful and good for our souls! I’m so excited for our whole school assemblies to relaunch!
*All EYFS classes have hosted a Stay & Play session for their families with great success. Thank you to Emma Priest for developing this idea and making it happen.
*Y7 from Applefields visited us for a Y6 transition event – what a success! Well done to everyone involved.
*Our parent swim for pupils with PMLD/Complex needs is a raving success and will now be offered twice a week!
Our improvement areas for Spring 2 are:-
*Roll out of our new phonics & reading scheme
*PSHCE curriculum
* Returning to normality after Covid restrictions are lifted!
