Headteachers Update 21st October 2022

What a busy half term! We’ve welcomed 18 new pupils, held 28 annual reviews for Y6 pupils, raised £453 for Macmillan, held our parents community hub, had an Ofsted inspection, harvest festival, delivered donations to the food bank, Woods class came 3rd in a Panathlon and welcomed families in for our Pumpkin Trial! What a busy 7 weeks… this is on top of all the lovely thematic learning that has taken place for our ‘All About Me’ Autumn theme. We have some lovely news to share from our staff too.

Emma Smith welcomed baby Anabelle (left) into the world in September and Katie Harrison has had her baby son (right),
Noah in October. Laura Birch is getting married tomorrow and we are excited to welcome her back after half term as Mrs Moyse! Oak Trees made a lovely themed pumpkin to wish her love and happiness! The admin team have named it ‘Laura’s Love Lantern!’.

Janet, Julie and Hayley had the difficult task of choosing the winners of this years Halloween competition. They are pleased to announce the winners. The best pupil fancy dress: Evan P – Seedlings, Poppy W – Trunks and Harry C—Branches. Best dressed adult -Nina Melrose and best tuff tray display for the pumpkin trial went to Sickly Swamp, made by Trunks class!
