Headteachers Update 9th September 2022

Welcome back to all!

It has been a wonderful week seeing your children so smartly dressed and ready to start our new academic year. I am sure you’ll agree from the Tapestry entries, the children have settled in well and keen to return the following day. We welcome 18 new pupils and their families to Hob Moor Oaks, we are looking forward to working with you and being a part of your child’s journey. You will receive in the upcoming weeks a settling in review date, this is a face to face meeting to discuss the first half term at HMO and plan next steps.

This newsletter gives you weekly information to help lines of communication. Just a few tweaks to the drop off and pick up organisation. Sadly, our minibus is waiting to be taken away, until then we

cannot use the space to the left of the entrance for parents to gather and wait for drop off. Please can I ask that Buds class use the Sewells entrance and exit to help manage the foot fall. We have also identified PTA to take some children from transport to classrooms, which will help with waiting times. This was our usual practice prior to Covid.

We will begin our whole school assemblies from next week but will invite parents into our Golden Leaf, celebration assemblies from week commencing 19th September. If your child is receiving a certificate you will receive a text message invitation.

Many class teachers may have already asked, but please can you send wet weather gear into school, e.g. wellies, overalls, splash suits, extra clothing etc. Our pupils have access to continuous provision so may be enjoying the Great British weather a lot more this year.
