Headteacher Update 17th November

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had another two busy and enjoyable weeks in school.

Reception have been on a trip to the library where they were read to, and enjoyed hearing a variety of stories and looking at different books.

For National School Meals Week we were delighted to see so many of our Reception parents enjoying a delicious school dinner with their child. The children were so excited to eat lunch with their parents in their own classroom setting.

The children have been reflecting about Remembrance Day in assemblies and have been wearing their poppies around school with pride.

We are also looking forward to the whole school getting involved with raising money for Children in Need with our spotty clothing and Pudsey Bear raffle prizes!!

Thank you to all who attended parents evening and engaged in the conversations around your child’s learning, attendance, absence and the impact this may be having on your child’s education.

Some families will have received letters about their child’s attendance. Whilst there are some individual progresses to be shared, we are still seeing a significant level of pupil absence . If this applies to your child then, in accordance with our Attendance Policy, parents will be notified via letter and/or invited to create a Persistent Absentee Plan. It is really important we have your engagement with this.

Happy weekend everyone!
