Headteacher Update 24th March 2023

Dear Parent/Carers,
As we approach the Easter holidays it’s lovely to spot all the signs that Spring is definitely here at last. We are so looking forward to all our Easter celebrations next week which kick off on Monday with a visit from Andy and his Yo Yo team. The children always look forward to their workshops and whole school assembly all about our Easter traditions.
Yesterday we had a visit from Lenny Bear and Sarah from St. Leonard’s Hospice to introduce our “Hop for the Hospice” event next Wednesday when children and staff from Hob Moor Primary and Hob Moor Oaks will put on their bunny ears and hop around the school to raise funds for the hospice. Sarah explained that any donations would be very much appreciated but she was fully aware that we had asked families to support a number of charities recently and the main thing was for us all to have a wonderful time together. St. Leonard’s Hospice provided us with 450 pairs of bunny ears so we will all look the part! Any donations can be sent into school before Friday 21st April.
I’m sure everyone will be busy this weekend making their Easter hat or decorating their egg for our annual Easter competition. The entries will be judged for the very last time by Hayley Wilkinson and Jo, the Community Champion from Tesco, who have very kindly donated the Easter Egg prizes.
