Headteacher Update 27th October 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a busy few weeks in school leading up to half term.

We had a fantastic harvest assembly and we were delighted with the children’s generous donations. So many food items were collected and they have gone to the Food Bank to help local families who are in need.

Year 5/6 had a fantastic trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park this week where they explored a variety of modern and contemporary sculptures albeit in the rain!! In school, the children have also enjoyed creating their own sculpture designs out of clay, based on a local community theme.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Jess for her amazing mural in our  reception area. It is a wonderful celebration of Hob Moor Federation. Thank you!

York Cares volunteers are supporting primary school aged children with their reading by offering 1:1 reading support sessions located at Acomb Library. If any families are interested, please see overleaf for further details.
