Headteacher Update 6th September 2019

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome back to the new school year. I hope you all had a lovely summer break, the children have certainly enjoyed telling us about what they have been up to!

What a fabulous start to the new school year we’ve had this week. It’s been so nice to see children smiling and hearing how much they have enjoyed the first few days in their new classes. This year, as well as changing our class names we have changed the lunchtimes for KS2 children slightly to 12.15-1.15pm. This is in response to feedback from parents and children and will mean that all children will have longer to eat their dinner. There will also be less children on the ‘big playground’ so that we can organise more play activities for the children.

Our celebration assemblies are changing from Thursday afternoons to Friday afternoons (2.45pm) and class assemblies will remain on Tuesday afternoons (2.45pm). Keep your eye on the fortnightly newsletter for when these are planned for your child(ren)s class.

Our phase newsletters will give you information about the wonderful learning opportunities the teachers have planned for the children and I hope the children have a fabulous term.
