Headteachers Update 23rd October 2020

This half term appears to have gone by so quickly and been so busy, but as always we have made it to the end of the first half term holiday in what appears to have been a blink of an eye!

This week we have seen some lovely spooky, sensory activities taking place in preparation for Halloween today.  We were really fortunate that Morrisons in Acomb have donated pumpkins and tea lights for each of our classes, and we are planning to use them to create a “Pumpkin Trail” around school with clues to solve! We have some very creative classes so it has been great to see how everyone has approached this challenge!

Parents Evening letters were sent out earlier this week for you to book your phone calls with class teachers, please return your time requests asap to allow teachers to organise the appointments.

Following the letter sent out to parents last week about the positive COVID case in Hob Moor Primary, I must reassure you that the letter was sent out to update parents of the case, but it has also enabled us to ensure we are continuing with all of  the protocols which we put in place at the start of the term. I am also sharing below the phase bubbles which our classes are grouped in.

3) Roots,  Boughs and Green Shoots

4) Trunks, Catkins, Oak Leaves and Oak Trees

Thank you for your ongoing support over a very busy and unusual half term. I hope that you all have a restful half term, and hope that the weather stays warm and sunny. We look forward to all of our pupils returning back to school on Monday 2nd November.
