Headteachers update 19th March 2021

It’s been brilliant to have all our children back in school full-time and it’s certainly been a busy couple of weeks. As always our children have amazed us with how they have readily settled back into our everyday routines. For those of us who have found it a little bit tricky after such a long time at home, our well-being team have been real superheroes giving loads of care, encouragement and reassurance to those that need it.

In fact, we also had a few Superheroes in school last Friday as we celebrated ‘World Book Day’. Thank you for helping the children create such wonderful costumes – we even had someone from Team Woodpecker write their own story and dress up as one of the characters! Today we’ve all searched through our wardrobes to find something Red and together we have raised £249 for Comic Relief. Thank you for your donations.

Next week, we are very excited to welcome Mrs Connolly back to school and at the same time send ‘Thanks and Good Wishes’ to Mrs Meiklejohn for all her hard work over the past term. It’s hard to believe that it’s a year ago when we were saying ‘Goodbye’ to our children and starting our first national lockdown. Gosh, so much has happened since then and you’ve all been amazing!
