Headteachers Update 23rd July 2021

What a brilliant week we’ve had reflecting on another incredible year at Hob Moor. For the past 2 days we held our Yr6 Graduations, it was fantastic to welcome families back into our school and celebrate the achievements of our oldest children. They are an amazing bunch and we wish them all the best for their move to secondary school.

Earlier today we all gathered together on the sports field to say huge ‘Goodbyes’ to staff who are moving on to pastures new and wish them ‘Good Luck’ for the future. As you all know Mr Willson and Mr Stevens will take up new posts in September. Miss Wybrant is still hoping to move to New Zealand to live with her sister and newly born niece. Mrs Renny, Miss Snell and Mr Wilson (our sports coach) are leaving us to train to be teachers. Mrs Van de Borgh is retiring to spend more time with her family and pet dog Muriel and Mrs Lee is leaving us to pursue her career in counselling. They will all be greatly missed by staff, parents and children!

And finally Miss Dale is looking forward to getting married in August, after a very long wait during the pandemic. We hope the sun shines on her and they have a beautiful day. We look forward to seeing her photographs and welcoming her back as Mrs Barr.

And I wish you all a very happy holiday and look forward to greet everyone back into their new classes on Tuesday 7th September.
