Headteachers Update 9th July 2021

Thank you to all the parents who joined us virtually for our ‘meet the new team’ meetings. The teams are looking forward to developing positive relationship with you all.

Today the teaching staff have discussed at length our ‘recovery curriculum’ for September 2021, this will include some curriculum development changes including accessing our community. This will incorporate skills linked to transitioning to and from a place (whether that be in our school grounds or further a field) through to our PE and sports offer including our Hydro/Energise swimming sessions. We will share our curriculum with you in September alongside our individual class timetables. We are very excited to bring our enhanced provision areas back into action post pandemic and ‘bubbles’, today the TAs have spent time preparing resources, reviewing our Reading Garden and exploring the wonderful play resources we have purchased for September.

We had over 20 staff absent on Thursday due to Covid related issues, we are making every effort to minimise the disruption to your children’s education and your home life. But safety and safe staff to child ratios is paramount. As always we thank you for your support as we battle through to the end of July.

Finally thank you so much for your speedy response yesterday morning, providing a packed lunch at such short notice.  Due to Covid our kitchen will be closed but our provider will be offering a packed lunch to include a sandwich, fruit, biscuit/cake from Monday for the children who have all booked a lunch on ParentPay, children that have ordered a soft option will receive a jacket potato.  This will be the case until our kitchen re-opens.
