Headteacher Update 20th September 2019

Dear Parents and Carers

It’s been great to see the sunshine return this week! Perfect for our children to play in their first football matches of the year.  Mr Unwin and Mr Jones were immensely proud of our Year 1/2 children and our Year 5/6 children when they played at York High this week. What an achievement in the first few weeks of the year. I am always keen to hear about the fabulous things our children achieve outside of  school. In assembly this week I introduced our new ‘Achievement Tree’ which will celebrate successes out of school. We already have three children who achieved the ‘Summer Reading Challenge’ in the Summer Holidays. If your child(ren) have achieved something special (e.g. a swimming award, martial arts belt, learnt to ride their bike) please send in a photo with an explanation of their achievement.

We also introduced the ‘Aldi’s Kit for Schools’ campaign. Get collecting those Team GB stickers and we could win £20.000!
